Kaia Gerber Channeled Cindy Crawford With a '90s Smoky Eye

Although it's hard sometimes to separate the famous child from their famous parent, Kaia Gerber makes it easy. The model and Bottoms star is just a natural in front of the camera and on the runway, making us all want to recreate her effortlessly gorgeous beauty and style looks like milk bath nails, skinny scarves, and stunning hair changes. However, due to those highly favored genes, sometimes the Cindy Crawford just can't help but peak through.

That was the case on February 7, when Gerber jetted off to Switzerland with luxury watch brand Omega and attended a handful of events for the brand. While out and about, she wore an eye makeup look that would be right at home on the runways Crawford walked in the '90s—and the resemblance was uncanny.

Done by makeup artist Valeria Ferreria, the look started with a perfected complexion. Gerber's skin was hydrated and radiant but had a soft matte finish—very '90s. Her lips were a satiny tan-nude shade that perfectly complemented the hue of her bronzer, which added some sculpt to the model's cheeks. However, we're mostly obsessed with her subtle smoky eye.

Some might call it "rockstar girlfriend makeup," others a naked smoky eye or a slept in smoky eye; Gerber's eyes started with a bronzy base color on her lids. In the inner corner, there was the faintest, lightest touch of highlighter. However, it was balanced out beautifully by the dark eyeliner shaping her eyes on the upper and lower waterlines. Slightly smudged and blended out, the dark pigment made it onto her lids and into a subtle, small cat eye. Then, coats of mascara made her lashes long and fluttery to finish off the look.

While in Switzerland, Gerber paired the look with a chic ensemble consisting of lots of layers to keep her warm in the cold of the Alps. She layered a military jacket with gold button detailing over a black sweater. Black leather gloves flowed out of the outfit, and bright gold Omega watched was layered on top. Her hair was parted in a voluminous side part—much like her mother's signature—and the aforementioned smoky eye was on full display.
