If anyone knows how to drum up excitement for a launch, it's Hailey Bieber. The Rhode founder is a master of teasing her upcoming product drops through selfies, sneak peaks, and carefully-executed tutorials (for example, her "strawberry makeup" tutorial went viral right before she dropped a strawberry flavored Lip Treatment). She's been sharing glimpses of Rhode's newest launch over the past six months, and much to the delight of fans, we finally have more info.

On June 10, Bieber formally introduces the Rhode Pocket Blush, a cream blush with a dewy, glazed finish available in six fun shades. The blush isn't available to shop until June 20, but I was able to get my hands on it early, and let me just say, you're going to want to mark you calendar for the drop. Ahead, everything you need to know about Pocket Blush, plus my honest review.

The Product

Pocket Blush marks the brand's first highly-anticipated venture into color cosmetics outside of its Lip Tints. With their creamy formula and compact packaging, the Pocket Blushes are designed to be used on the go. They have a dewy, skin-like finish and can be applied for a sheer wash of color or built up for a statement flush on your cheeks and lips. Pocket Blush comes in six shades: Piggy, a baby pink; Freckle, a neutral peach; Spicy Marg, a hot coral; Sleepy Girl, a soft mauve; Juice Box; a bright pink; and Toasted Teddy, a bronze terracotta.

"The standards I set for the blush were: the color had to last long and the experience applying it had to be pleasant," Bieber told us of the launch. "I really wanted the texture and the the way it melted into the skin to be pleasant. Sometimes, I find blushes can [look] patchy, or they have drag, or they're not easy to apply. I knew I wanted it to be a cream blush in a portable, on-the-go situation, and, I really wanted it to give you that skin-like flush, second skin, beautiful, dewy-glowy finish. To find a way to make all those things work together in one has been a journey."

My Review

I'm a big blush girl, so I've been itching to try these since Hailey posted the very first sneak peek. I'm happy to report back that Pocket Blush was absolutely worth the wait. First of all, the packaging is so cute—it really is the perfect size to toss in your pocket or bag, and the top feels very secure which is crucial to avoid any product explosions. The smaller size also makes it easy to apply the product exactly where you want it. The formula is so creamy and smooth, and blends out seamlessly without any patchiness or skipping.

As I would expect from Rhode, they have a super dewy finish that gives my cheeks a pretty glazed effect. That being said, they don't feel wet or greasy, and it eventually sets to more of a satin finish. Since Rhode is a skincare brand first and foremost, I was worried about the pigmentation and the longevity, but I had no need for concern—these blushes are bright, and stayed that way through a full work day and happy hour drinks. It's also worth nothing that I love the shades—Piggy, a baby pink, is a favorite, as is the hot pink Juice Box, which I'm wearing in this photo.

All in all, the hype for Pocket Blushes is fully earned. You're going to want to act fast when these drop, as something tells me they're definitely going to sell out.
