Lily-Rose Depp's Short French Manicure Is the Cutest Summer Nail Inspo

Lily-Rose Depp is the epitome of modern-day French girl chic. Before she was known as Jocelyn on The Idol, Tumblr girls will remember re-blogging posts of Depp's iconic style and looking to her for beauty inspo. And, nothing screams 'Tres chic!' more like the actor-slash-model's latest look. Over the weekend, Depp debuted the tiniest of denim mini-skirts, a vintage Chanel bag, and, of course, the trendiest nail look yet this year: A classic French manicure.

On May 10, Depp was spotted leaving LA's favorite Italian restaurant (frequented by Hailey Bieber and Rihanna), Giorgio Baldi, but her outfit was anything but Almafi-inspired. She stuck to her French girl roots and put a Gen-Z spin on the classics with a purposefully wrinkled white button-up and micro-micro (like the smallest we've ever seen) denim mini-skirt and a Chanel bowling bag. Chic outfit aside, we couldn't help but spot her freshly manicured nails done up in a timeless French style.

Sure, there's the two-toned French manicure, or chrome tips—and a handful of other ways to wear the classic nails—but the white tips are timeless for a reason. Depp opted for a short almond style with a no-frills French manicure consisting of a barely-there pinky base and opaque white polish with a glossy finish.

Depp may be known as a style-muse, but did you know, she also knows her way around a great manicure? For the Chanel Cruise show in Paris, Depp opted for glossy black nails that matched her high-fashion crop top. And, while in Tokyo earlier this year, the 24-year-old went full vampire with a gothic deep red manicure for spring, courtesy of Zola Ganzorigt (nail artist to our favorite manicure muses).

The rest of Depp's beauty was simple, a lá the French girl's go-to. She pulled her hair up in a slicked-back ballerina bun (with no fly-aways in sight) and wore very minimal makeup. All that we could spot was a brown lip-liner that was slightly darker than her natural lip shade, a coat of black mascara, and a swipe of bronzer on her forehead and cheeks.
