Kendall Jenner Channeled Marilyn Monroe With a Platinum Bob for Halloween

It's not every Halloween that a costume transcends the holiday festivities, becoming genuine glam goals. However, every now and then, we are served a look that has us wishing it would stick around longer than just one night, Last year, Megan Fox showed up to a party as Pamela Anderson, inspiring numerous everyday looks channeling the star. This year, we think Kendall Jenner's costume might have the power to do the same.

On October 29, the supermodel posted an Instagram carousel showing off the look for her Halloween party, attended by friends Hailey Bieber and Laura Harrier. The ensemble was an instant classic and could have just as easily been worn to a red carpet as the spooky season celebration.

The look? Marilyn Monroe. Central to the makeover was Jenner's brand-new hair.

Despite it being a wig, her hair was the definition of bleach blonde from root to end. Just like the pop culture icon, her hair was an ultra-short bob. Traveling just to the small of her neck, every strand of her hair was styled to perfection by Irinel de León. Styled in a voluminous side part, her hair had layers of tight, bouncy curls. In the front some of the curls formed a face-framing accent as they fell across her forehead.

Jenner's makeup was also vintage perfection. Her eyebrows were much darker than the shade of her hair—dark brown instead of bright blonde—which provided a piercing contrast that added dimension to her face. Her complexion was matte perfection, with a heavy touch of blush on her cheeks and temples, and some light contour. Jenner's makeup artist Mary Phillips even added the dot of Monroe's signature mole on the bottom of her left cheek.

As for eyes, they were pin-up doll realness. A long, skinny eyeliner wing added drama while also making her face shape appear more like Monroe's. On top of the liner was a light bronzy-brown shade that kept the drama going. Then, her lips tied the look together. Matte like her skin, Phillips lined and filled them in with a moody dark pink, a similar shade to the blush on her face.

Then, there was the outfit, which sold the story even more. Channeling one of Monroe's most enduringly iconic looks, Jenner wore a black turtleneck from Intimissimi, their Modal Cashmere High-Neck Top. However, unlike the one Monroe wore that was loose fitting and more sweater-like, Jenner's was slightly sheer and skin tight—hugging her body and letting her matching black bra peek through. Just like the icon, she paired the black shirt with white capris, also made of a stretchy material.

The finishing touch was dangling diamond earrings, because everyone knows that diamonds are a girl's best friend.
