She can't resist a retro beauty moment.

Though it's weird to think about it now, Ariana Grande was once only associated with bright cherry red hair—way before the cherry cola hair trend. Since then, her signature hair look has changed, most notably to a soft brunette, often styled in her signature high pony. That ponytail has now seen various versions of itself on Ari's head—yellow-blonde, silver-blonde, bedazzled, and more. Her latest hairstyle? Her current buttery blonde "Glinda" shade, plus a new face-framing addition.

On March 5, Grande posted two sets of Instagram photos celebrating "Eternal Sunshine Week," AKA the launch of her latest album and an appearance on Zane Lowe's Apple Music show. In the photos, she candidly posed in New York City's iconic SUMMIT One Vanderbilt—a skyline outlook filled to the brim with large silver balloons. What did this sneak peek have in store for us Arianators? A peek at her brand-new blonde bangs.

For devoted Ari stans, the blonde shade is nothing new. She's had blonde hair since 2023 for her upcoming role as Glinda in Wicked, and has been showing it off while promoting her album, including in her last sneak peek into the project.

The real star of the show here was her new Bardot bangs. Traveling right to her small, perfect cat eye, the bangs sat bouncy and beautiful with the look. Not proper Y2K blunt bangs, this hairstyle had a tapering silhouette, the longest strands being her makeup-grazing ends and the shortest strands being right above the bridge of her nose. All together, forming a crescent shape that framed her face with plenty of volume—even more so with the additions of two face-framing pieces left out of her half-up look.

Grande pulled the rest of her hair back and off her face. Not so much the classic ponytail she's most associated with; this was a bouncy half-up pony at the crown of her head. Securing the pony was the year's biggest hair trend, the hair bow. Matching her all-black outfit, the bow had long tails nearly as long as her hair. In combination with her black minidress and heels, it made for a look that popped out from the completely silver set.
