Taylor Swift Traded Her Cherry Red Lipstick for a Deeper Shade

The best word to describe Taylor Swift's style is relatable, which feels like an oxymoron for a star as big as her, but it's true. When she's not on the red carpet, Swift's fashion and beauty choices feel similar to your best friends. She'll throw on a bold eyeshadow every now and again, but typically, she keeps it simple and rotates through her favorite designers and silhouettes. A few things she'll always love? Pleated skirts, knee-high boots, retro loafers, and matching her signature red lipstick to her outfit.

On June 11, Swift was spotted in London while embarking on the European leg of her Eras Tour. The 34-year-old's outfit was much more minimalist than her tour costumes. She wore a blazer with trousers, and although beau Travis Kelce was not by her side, her companion for the night was her Gucci mini Jackie bag, which she matched to her makeup.

Since Sabato de Sarno took over Gucci as Creative Director, the Rosso Ancora shade has been prevalent across the brand's collections, and of course, its bags. Swift added the shade to her outfit in the form of her bag, Gucci Signoria slingback pumps, and her classic red lipstick. This shade was a little darker than her go-to cherry, perfectly matching the Bordeaux shade of her purse and shoes. While we're not totally sure what brand she's wearing, Gucci does make a lipstick in the Rosso Ancora shade if you want a similar look at home.

Red lipstick has been Swift's signature for as long as she's been in the spotlight. Another constant in Swift's wardrobe is pieces from the designer Stella Mccartney—she even collaborated with the brand back in 2020. Her black corset, trousers, and pinstripe coat were all by the designer.

This isn't the first time she coordinated her lipstick to her look. At the Super Bowl this year, Swift supported Kelce by wearing a nod to the Chief's team colors with red lipstick and a coordinating manicure.
