They're scene-stealers.

We can always count on Megan Thee Stallion for some show-stopping looks. For example, the hair looks in her record-breaking “WAP” music video were worthy of an award. She transformed herself into a pin-up girl with a Marilyn Monroe hairstyle at the Grammys, and most recently, her snakeskin nails at the VMAs slithered into a permanent position in our memory. The last of which may have been an early teaser for her latest single and video, “Cobra,” which just dropped with even more instances of gag-worthy beauty.

On November 3, Megan released the music video for “Cobra," and it amassed more than 800,000 in less than 12 hours. The video starts off with Meg climbing her way out of the stomach of a Cobra before joining the real world. Once there, she's locked in a cage while shedding her skin like a snake under the constant snapshots of iPhone cameras and paparazzi—a visual representation of her experience in the public eye while her sense of self was damaged from the constant scrutiny. Then, emerging on the other side of it all with confidence.

Beyond the brilliant lyricism and vulnerable themes, the video was more proof of her enduring status as a beauty icon—specifically, her spider lashes that we couldn’t take our eyes off of.

While climbing out of the giant snake, Meg stared right into the camera wearing the definition of lash goals. Similar to the “Manga lashes” trend, the rapper’s eyes were framed with little clumps of lashes for a Twiggy effect—on the bottom, there was a clump in the middle of her eye, and then another one closer to the outer corner. Her top waterline was more full than the bottom half; however, it had longer, spidery sections sticking out from the bulk of them. To go with the lashes, she wore a look that somehow made crawling out of the guts of a reptile seem glamorous.

Her hair was styled wavy and wet, falling behind her and sticking loosely to her skin. Despite the goo, her skin was matte perfection, and she had sculpted eyebrows, light under eyes, and a touch of blush—because I, too, would be flushed fighting off a cobra. Lips that were lined with dark purple and filled in with a clear gloss finished off the look—that, and a bikini seemingly made out of the shedded skin of her slithering creator.

Other than this look, the star also wore a prehistoric desert goddess look with a sharp cat eye and leather ensemble, as well as an “in the spotlight” ensemble that more closely resembled her usual edgy-glam looks, representing her finding some comfort again in the limelight.
