Fact: There’s no '90s character more influential than Jennifer Aniston’s Rachel Green. The Friends character embodies '90s cool-girl style to a “T” (her looks still cover Pinterest boards to this day), and at any salon, you’re guaranteed to find a reference photo of her infamous layered "Rachel" cut. And in 2024, Jennifer Aniston is still delivering iconic style looks, this time debuting a new trendy cut on People's 50th Anniversary cover.
On the cover, the Morning Show actress donned a layered bob in tortoise-shell bronde (one of spring’s most popular hair color trends) that’s surely her shortest cut in decades. She swapped her typical layered midi cut for a chic minimalist bob with face-framing layers and a side part (Is the side part making a comeback? Only time will tell!). It’s official folks, even Jennifer Aniston can't resist the bob trend.
Earlier this year at the Golden Globes, Aniston went back to her '90s roots with a minimalist blown-out lob cut. While her hair was noticeably shorter, this time around, Aniston’s new look is a significant change. Although her new style has all of the sophistication of a bob, Aniston’s laidback girl-next-door charm softens the cut to appear less serious.
Aside from the transformative cut, we can’t stop thinking about the bronde color. While chatting Spring 2024 hair color trends with Byrdie, Lauren Paglionico, a master colorist and the founder of lrn beauty, explains the shade as “A combination of dark golden blonde, light golden brown, rich medium brown, and toffee blonde just like Gisele Bündchen."
The rest of Aniston’s look for the cover was simple. She had a slightly bronzey cheek paired with fluffy black lashes and a pink-tinted lip, staying true to her typical no-makeup makeup approach.
