The best style icons have a signature look down pat. Ice Spice's is, without a doubt, her curly copper hair. It's something she rarely parts with, and has been associated with the rapper since she first vent viral on TikTok. So, every time she ditches the red for something new, it makes it all the more exciting to see.
The first time she did this was for her song "Barbie World" with Nicki Minaj, where she wore her hair in a bubblegum pink flipped bob along with her full Barbiecore fit. The latest hair change, though, was by far her most extreme.
On October 29, Ms. Spice revealed her Halloween costume: Betty Boop. She traded her curls for Betty Boop's iconic ultra-short look brought out of animation and into real life. Though it was wig, the hair appeared to be growing out of her head naturally. Precisely parted down the middle, the short strands were curled to perfection in various directions for a cartoony feel. Along her hairline and forehead were small finger waves in a super curly design that provided a frame for her face. Then, on the top of her head, the same curl pattern wisped up to create standing curls reminiscent of the character's stylishly messy 'do, but with extra glamour.
She paired the hair with vintage-inspired makeup that really sold the look. She wore evenly spaced out straight lashes that contrasted the white eyeliner on her lower waterline. Her upper waterline was dark black with the faintest of cat eyes. Ice's skin was dewy with heavy blush and a light under eye. Her matte red lips finished off the look while also matching her ruby red attire.
As Boop would want, Ice Spice wore the tiniest cherry red minidress that was strapless and skin-tight. She layered nude fishnet tights underneath and added garter with a bedazzled red heart. Satin chunky black heels, some gold hoops, a gold bracelet, and an iced-out cross necklace completed her outfit with the finishing touch of classic French tip nails.
Once posted, she made her new Halloween alter-ego her profile picture, so does this mean black-haired Ice Spice will be making a return? We can only hope so.
