Experience

Kaleigh, who's 26 now, has been writing about all things beauty since she was a sophomore in college and cold-emailed the then-beauty editor at Refinery29. After freelance writing for two years and interning at Seventeen, Cosmopolitan, and Refinery29, she landed her first gig at Teen Vogue as the associate digital editor. A year later, she wound up at Allure with the same title and stayed there for over a year and a half reporting on all things makeup, hair, skincare, and wellness. In January 2019, she made the move to the freelance life and now contributes to a wide range of media outlets, including Byrdie, Glamour, Allure, Yahoo Beauty, Bustle, Elite Daily, Health Central, and more. She also does some brand consulting and copywriting on the side. Kaleigh's been a Byrdie contributor since May 2019.
