How do they stand out from the rest? Our tester, Gibreel, was able to effortlessly grasp and pull out even the tiniest hairs in just one try. Not only that, but the sharp, slanted tips, calibrated tension, and easy-to-grip base make for an all-around streamlined pain-free tweezing experience. 

Made in Italy from high-quality stainless steel, with the brand’s signature matte black finish, we’re also big fans of the sleek and elegant yet sturdy design. Not too small nor too big or heavy, Gibreel said these tweezers are the perfect size. The price is a little steep, but you can expect them to last for several years—decades, maybe—so they’re a worthwhile investment if you ask us.

Interested in something more budget-friendly? Check out these tweezers from Coco’s Closet. Made of powder-coated stainless steel and available in a few fun colors, our tester, Karen, appreciated the lightweight yet surprisingly durable design.

She also liked how the shaft is wider in the middle with silicone finger grips to prevent slipping and cramping during longer tweezing sessions. The slanted tips gripped and pulled out hairs with minimal tension. And while they may not be ideal for removing shorter hairs, Karen said they made eyebrow plucking easy and she never had to try multiple times to successfully tweeze out a hair.

We also love this multiuse set from Benefit Cosmetics. A built-in brush on one end combs your brows to see where you need to pluck for the best brow shape, and then you can smooth them back into place once you’re done.

Our tester, Chloe, was a big fan of the dual-ended design. After taking these tweezers for a spin, she was impressed by how well the wide, slanted tips grabbed and extracted multiple hairs at once without pulling on her skin. They aren’t made of stainless steel, but the durable metal offers a firm grip. Other than that, our only complaint is that the packaging was hard to open.

Pointed tweezers aren’t something we’d recommend to beginners, but they’re clutch for precision plucking and ingrown hairs. This pair from Tweezerman features super-fine (and super sharp) tips that make it easy to grab short, fine hairs. Unlike the slanted-tip variety, you won’t accidentally pull out more hairs than you intended.

Our tester, Shanon, said these tweezers are on the smaller side, so they might not be ideal for folks with large hands. Still, she found them easy to use and perfect for detailed hair removal, noting that she didn't need to use much pressure or force. Tweezerman's Micro Mini Trio is ideal for trips and on-the-go use. This high-quality set comes with three pluckers: one flat-tipped, one slanted, and one pointed. Though they’re much smaller than average, our tester, Avery, was pleasantly surprised by the user-friendly design, noting that they were easy to maneuver and didn't slip in her hands.

She liked that the pointed ones are sharp but not brittle and said all three pairs did a great job pulling out short, long, fine, thick, and coarse hairs. Not only that, but the tweezing experience was virtually painless. While we wish this set was available in more colors, we like that it comes with its rose gold carrying case.

Ingrown hairs occur when a strand gets trapped under the skin, essentially growing backward and causing inflammation in the follicle. They commonly happen anywhere on the body that you remove hair—including your eyebrows. If that’s something you’re dealing with, this ultra-skinny tweezer (another favorite from Tweezerman) features sharp, tapered tips that allow you to get under the skin, releasing the trapped hair and allowing the area to heal. 

Just be sure to sanitize the tip with an alcohol wipe before use to avoid any risk of infection and store them using the silicone cover so you don’t accidentally skewer yourself. In our experience, the needle-fine tips are super fragile so keep them somewhere they won’t get easily damaged.

Its scissors-style handle is simple to maneuver, and the slanted tweezer tips enable you to grab and pull hairs from virtually any angle. It can take a while to get used to this unique design as you work around the brow’s contours, but we think that as long as you can use a pair of scissors, you’ll likely never return to conventional-style tweezers again. Oh, and it works for right-handed people and lefties alike.
